Good racing
Medemblik is not some random venue. The Regatta Center is home to the Dutch Olympic teams, and one of the ISAF 09-10 sailing worldcup venues! It is situated on the IJsselmeer, which has a large body of fresh water, non tidal, free of commercial shipping and other hazards. The IJsselmeer has favourable wind conditions, and pleasant temperatures in September.

Easy to get and stay there
The Olympic regattacenter venue is close to the picturesque historic village Medemblik (nice if you bring over the family). There is plenty accommodation available in town and in nearby holiday home park or camping.
